Planning your wardrobe

During this change in your physical appearance, other parts of your life can understandably change too. One aspect that may be tailored to your new enhanced figure is your wardrobe.

While shopping for new clothes may be an enjoyable part of your post-surgery life, it is also essential to prioritise support when it comes to your enhanced breasts. Supporting your enhanced breasts can just be as simple as ensuring you purchase new bras that fit your new size, as well as some very supportive sports bras.

When choosing new outfits to match your enhanced look it is important to feel comfortable and confident.

Telling people about your surgery
Often people can be curious about your decision to enhance your breasts; however at Renew Plastic Surgery we encourage you to only discuss your treatment if you are comfortable. Your privacy is crucial to us and we will never share information about your treatment with anyone other than yourself and our medical team. In many cases your friends and family will be interested in your procedure and it is a very individual choice when deciding how much information you wish to share.
Resuming your day-to-day activities

For many of our patients, the prospect of getting back to their normal life after a breast augmentation is exciting. In saying this, there will be a reasonable amount of down time required before you can return to your day-to-day activities.

Everyone will have a different experience and will recover from their treatment differently. Generally, most women return to light activities within one week, and you may be able to return to work by the end of the second week. Typically, most patients will recover significantly enough during these two weeks to return to social activity and office-based work. By this time, swelling will largely be resolved and you may potentially start to feel more comfortable with your new, fuller figure.

Hitting the track or the yoga mat
As mentioned above, most women will recover significantly in the first two weeks; however more strenuous physical activity should be limited for a total of 6 weeks. It is best to start with light activity, such as a walk, and advance slowly back into your normal routine. Our surgeons will discuss the healing process with you in detail to ensure you are completely aware of every aspect of your surgery
